The Yuma Police Department, in an effort to provide for a safer community, will be conducting an intensive impaired driving enforcement detail Halloween weekend beginning on Thursday, October 30 and continuing through Sunday, November 2nd.

The Yuma Police Department, in an effort to provide for a safer community, will be conducting an intensive impaired driving enforcement detail Halloween weekend beginning on Thursday, October 30 and continuing through Sunday, November 2nd.

Throughout the weekend, additional officers will be working at various times in overtime capacities to detect and apprehend impaired drivers.

Nearly 42% of fatal accidents in Arizona involve impaired drivers and holiday weekends tend to result in increased numbers of impaired motorists on roadways across the nation. The Yuma Police Department encourages the public to do their part by not drinking & driving & promptly reporting suspected impaired drivers.
