What Can I Report
This form allows you to report minor crimes. It is not meant to report a serious crime where a person was injured, threatened or otherwise placed in danger. You can report the following crimes:
- Bicycle Theft
- Damage of Property (Vandalism)
- Gas Drive Off (Business only)
- Lost Property
- Structure Burglary (Garage, storage sheds, fenced yards, etc.)
- Theft (Excluding auto theft and theft of firearms)
- Vehicle Burglary
Crime Must Have Occurred in the City of Yuma
This form may only be used to report a crime that occurred within the City of Yuma city limits. If you are trying to report a crime that happened elsewhere, you should contact the appropriate agency below:
How Does This Work?
- Start by collecting any information related to the crime you wish to report including:
- your name, contact details and basic information
- victim's name, contact details and basic information (if different)
- contact information for the business involved (if reporting for business)
- descriptions, serial numbers and value of anything lost, stolen or damaged
- car registration information for any vehicle involved: year, make, model, classification, vehicle identification number (VIN) and color.
- Review and accept the terms & conditions described on this page.
- Answer all questions presented as completely and as accurately as possible.
- Review your answers and check for missing or inaccurate information.
- Submit your report.
Once your report has been submitted:
- You will see a message that says, "Your Report Has Been Submitted."
- You will receive a tracking number that will allow you to check the progress of or make changes or updates to your unofficial report. You will NOT be able to do this on-line.
- You will also be given an opportunity to print a copy of the report for your records.
- If you have provided a valid e-mail address, you will be sent an official case number. Please allow 72 hours to process your report.
- Please note: All changes, corrections or status inquiries will require your tracking number and should be directed to (928) 373-4700 Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm excluding holidays.
Reports submitted through this web site may be referred to local, state, federal or international law agencies for possible investigation. Information in these reports may be used for preparing crime statistics and, depending on applicable law, may be shared as part of public records; this information may not remain confidential.
Already Filed a Report
You are NOT able to track, update or change your report on-line. If you have questions about a previously filed report or must make changes to information you have previously submitted, have your tracking number or case number available and call (928) 373-4700 Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm excluding holidays.
Filing False Reports
All reports will be reviewed and processed by the Yuma Police Department. Under Arizona Revised Statute 13-2907.01, it is a crime to file a false report. First offense is a class 1 misdemeanor and may be subject to fines up to $2,500 and/or up to 6 months incarceration. Subsequent offenses are class 6 felonies and may be subject to fines up to $150,000 and/or up to 1 year incarceration.
