Description

Ahhh, “South Pacific.” Who hasn’t heard the songs "I'm Gonna Wash that Man Right Outta My Hair,” “Some Enchanted Evening” or “There is Nothin' Like a Dame?" Set on a Pacific Island during World War II, "South Pacific" is essentially a romance with equal portions of comedy, music and emotion.  The story consists of two romances. The first involves a U.S. Navy pilot and a young Polynesian girl. The second revolves around a U.S. Navy nurse and the owner of the biggest plantation on the island. Happiness for both couples is threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices.
