Robert Burns is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and is celebrated worldwide. Join the Yuma Civic Center as we dine and entertain you with a traditional ‘Burns Supper’. A customary four course Scottish feast, a ‘Toast to the Lassies’ with ‘the water of life’ Scotch Whiskey, excerpt readings of Burns poetry and special presentation from our very own Yuma United Firefighters Pipes & Drums Ensemble will fill the evening’s festivities. As the official chorus of the United States Navy, and one of five performing units of the United States Navy Band, the Sea Chanters promote the Navy's proud heritage of the sea. The repertoire of this twenty-voice chorus, accompanied by piano, bass and drums, encompasses all types of choral music, including sea chanteys, patriotic selections, folk songs, sacred hymns, and the diverse sounds of opera and Broadway.
