Robert Burns is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and is celebrated worldwide. Join the Yuma Civic Center as we dine and entertain you with a traditional ‘Burns Supper’. A customary four course Scottish feast, a ‘Toast to the Lassies’ with ‘the water of life’ Scotch Whiskey, excerpt readings of Burns poetry and special presentation from our very own Yuma United Firefighters Pipes & Drums Ensemble will fill the evening’s festivities. Four course dinner, spirit toast and entertainment are all included in the ticket price. A cash bar will be available. Seating is limited.

Toast: Single serving of Scotch Whiskey
Appetizer: Scottish Egg
A medium hard boiled egg wrapped in mild sausage, seasoned bread crumbs and deep fried to a golden brown.
Soup: Red Lentil Soup served in a bread bowl.
Red lentils, garlic, onions and carrots brewed in vegetable stock, season with sea salt and black pepper to taste. Served in a warm soft bread bowl.
Main Course:‘New-School Haggis’
Ground lamb shoulder mixed with ground beef, onions, garlic, nutmeg, corriander, beef stock, salt and pepper formed into medallions and baked, served with Neeps (mashed turnips) and Tatties (mashed potatoes).
Dessert: Scottish Oatmeal Cakes
Steel Cut Oatmeal, flour, milk, butter, salt, baking soda, and brown sugar combined and baked into soft bite sized cookies.
