The Yuma Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.  Bring your pills for disposal to the Yuma Police Department, 1500 S. 1st Avenue on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The service is free just pull into the police department’s parking lot and drop off your unwanted prescription drugs.

Upon learning of his passing last week, the City of Yuma honors the life and memory of Horace B. Griffen, a key member of the record-setting 1949 endurance flight of the City of Yuma airplane that now hangs in City Hall.
