Teams of volunteers will prepare the qualifying homes this coming Oct. 17 for painting, then will return to paint Oct. 24. Both days, the goal is to complete the work between 8 a.m. and noon. Those who can participate on either or both Saturdays are encouraged to contact Neighborhood Services.

Yuma Parks and Recreation and the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Yuma are once again teaming up to host "Day For Kids - Come Out and Play" at the Valley Aquatic Center, 4381 W. 18th St., and adjacent Sunrise Optimist Park from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

YUMA, Ariz. – On Sept. 21, City of Yuma council members, City staff and members of the Dream Team gathered at the site of the Stewart Vincent Wolfe Creative Playground for a news conference and groundbreaking ceremony, marking the start of the beloved Castle Park’s reconstruction.
