Yuma City Hall will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, for observance of Labor Day.  Residential refuse collection for homes inside the Yuma city limits will change due to the holiday. City of Yuma residents who normally have their garbage picked up on Mondays will have collections on Tuesday. Those who have garbage pickups on Tuesdays will have collections on Wednesday.

The Yuma City Council will consider a measure that would lead to a project assessment for the possible, eventual relocation of the Yuma County Fairgrounds during the regular City Council meeting to begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Council Chambers of City Hall, One City Plaza.

Featuring a new look, new functions and updated features, the City of Yuma unveiled its new website to the public on Thursday. And users won’t have to do anything differently than before – the site is live at the same address, www.YumaAz.gov. Designed and produced by local firm MGM Design in collaboration with the City, the new site is the City’s first whole-scale design change since February 2008.
