Early online preview for spring and summer Parks and Rec guide

Planning your family’s spring and summer is about to get easier. The City of Yuma is releasing a sneak preview of its semi-annual activities guide online.

The 40-page guide features the times, dates, places and information for all the programs, classes and co-sponsored sports leagues offered through Yuma Parks and Recreation. It appears in PDF format, and can be saved to desktop computers or printed for future reference.

For spring and summer 2016, these activities include the ever-popular swimming lessons, this year’s Fairy Party, Camp Awesome, Family Fish Fiesta, Back to School Rodeo, Art Smart Camp, and more.

There is also information regarding the City’s 4th of July All-American BBQ and Fireworks Spectacular. The City provided this event for the first time in 2015, and turnout exceeded expectations.

Registration for the programs listed within begins March 21, exclusive to City of Yuma residents. Registration for those living outside the city limits, and online registration, will begin April 4.

The guide can be accessed via links provided on the article announcing the guide’s online preview under the City News section on the homepage of the City’s website, www.yumaaz.gov, or via the Activities Guide page.

Printed copies of the guide will be available in upcoming weeks at all Parks and Recreation facilities, including the Yuma Civic Center, Yuma Art Center, Desert Hills Golf Course, the North End Community Center, and the main office on the first floor of City Hall. The print edition will also be included in an upcoming issue of the Yuma Sun.
