16th Street, I-8 to mall

Project is expected to complete by the end of the year.

24th St., Pacific Ave.-Kennedy Ln.
Crews will be digging along 24th Street between Pacific Avenue and Kennedy Lane to place fiber for a new cellular site. The total work duration to install the fireline is 10 days. It is scheduled to finish by mid-November. While traffic control is in place, traffic will not be able to turn onto 13th Avenue from 8th Street as that avenue will be closed. Traffic is to use 12th Avenue or 14th Avenue instead. There will also be a sidewalk and partial 8th Street lane closure at its intersection with 13th Avenue. The speed limit near the work zone will be reduced to 25 mph.

Southbound 4th Avenue's right lane will close from Catalina Drive to 4th Avenue Extension, for construction of new turn lane and driveway entrance into Southgate Mall. Then 4th Avenue Extension will be closed between Business Loop 8/4th Avenue and 32nd Street. At one point in the project, the 32nd Street intersection with 4th Avenue Extension will become a 4-way stop.
