City Hall, solid waste schedules for weeks of Christmas, New Year's

Yuma City Hall will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 and Monday, Dec. 26 surrounding Christmas. City Hall will be closed again on Dec. 30 as part of our normal customer convenience schedule that allows us to be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. most Mondays through Thursdays.

The following week, after New Year’s Day, City Hall will be closed Monday, Jan. 2.

Curbside pickup for garbage (green containers) and recycling (blue containers) will alter those weeks.

The week of Dec. 19, recycling collected normally on Thursdays will be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 21; recycling normally collected on Fridays will be picked up Thursday, Dec. 22. Trash will be picked up on Monday and Tuesday as normal that week.

The week of Dec. 26, Monday garbage routes will be collected on Tuesday, Dec. 27; Tuesday garbage routes will be collected on Wednesday, Dec. 28. Curbside recycling will be picked up on Thursday and Friday as normal that week.

The week of Jan. 2, 2017, Monday garbage routes will be collected on Tuesday, Jan. 3; Tuesday garbage routes will be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 4. Curbside recycling will be picked up on Thursday and Friday as normal that week.

Residents can still pay their city services bill, register for a Parks and Recreation program and more whenever City Hall is closed by visiting www.yumaaz.gov.

Additionally, the City reminds customers that the next Household Hazardous Waste drop-off event, Jan. 14, 2017, will be held in the east parking lot of the Yuma Civic Center, Avenue A at 36th Street, instead of the longtime previous location.
