City Hall closed in honor of Veterans Day; curbside pickup not affected

Parade will travel south on 4th Avenue

Yuma City Hall will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.

 

Additionally, Friday, Nov. 6, Yuma City Hall will be closed as part of its normal customer convenience schedule.
 
Residential refuse and curbside recycling pickups will take place as normal that week.
 
Residents can still pay their city services bill, register for a Parks and Recreation program and more whenever City Hall is closed by visiting www.yumaaz.gov.  
 
Veterans Day Parade
The Veterans Day Parade with American Legion Post 19 will be held the morning of Nov. 11. The route is similar to previous years, traveling south from the Yuma Mesa Shopping Center on 4th Avenue from 16th Street, then east one block on 25th Street, then south on Virginia Drive to American Legion Post 19. Motorists should be advised they will not be able to use or cross 4th Avenue between 16th and 25th streets between 7 a.m. and as late as noon. Through traffic should detour using 32nd Street.
