Working For "The City" In 10 Easy Steps

  1. Review our open positions.
    Find something that best suits your skills and goals in life.
  2. Create an account.
    This process does require an e-mail account.
  3. Apply for our position.
    Our automated process will walk you through submitting your application.
  4. Departments/Human Resources review applications
    Some positions are open until filled and will have a continuous review process.
  5. Top qualified applicants will be invited to an interview and/or testing.
    Notification will be sent via e-mail, phone, or in rare occasions, U.S. Postal Service.
  6. Human Resources reviews interview and/or testing paperwork.
  7. Background investigation begins.
    This is for top applicants based on their interview and/or testing results.
  8. Potential employees will be asked to submit to a drug test.
  9. Position offered.
    Based on overall process, top applicant will be formally offered a position with the City of Yuma.
  10. Begin employment
