Donating A Rock

Donating a rock is a wonderful way to share your home state with visitors to the park and broaden the sense of community which is so much a part of the legacy of Roxaboxen.

How Big Can My Rock Be?

We welcome the donation of large rocks but refrain from donating any which will require permanent placement. Smaller rocks add to the imaginative play, encouraged by the park. Part of the adventure is the excitement of discovering a hidden treasure among the native rocks in the park.

Should I Decorate It?

We invite you to sign, date, and indicate the origin of your rock. You may leave it natural or decorate as you wish with a flag or other symbol reflective of your state.

Where Should I Bring My Rock?

Rocks may be brought to the Yuma Art Center during normal business hours or simply dropped off at the park located at the corner of 2nd Avenue and 8th Street. Please call the Yuma Art Center and let us know when you are planning to drop off your donation. We would love to meet you!

Again, thank you for your interest in supporting our efforts to preserve this park as a place where children of all ages can celebrate the wonder of creativity and the imagination.
