The Yuma Police Department offers the citizens of Yuma the opportunity to increase the overall security of their property, thereby decreasing the likelihood of being victimized by crime.

The Yuma Police Department's Public Affairs Unit will have an officer come to your home and conduct a Security Survey and Analysis of not only your home but the property and adjacent buildings as well. The Officer will check the inside and outside of your residence checking such items as: door locks, windows, smoke detectors, lighting etc.

At the end of the Survey the Officer will explain the areas that were checked and make suggestions on how to improve those areas needing improvement. The officer will also give the resident a coupon entitling them to a 10% discount on the selected items from The Home Depot hardware store.

The Security Survey is provided as a public service without charge and available to all residents of the City of Yuma.

For those residents who reside outside the City of Yuma please contact your local law enforcement agency.

Requesting A Survey

If you would like to request a Security Survey, send an e-mail to a representative of the Public Affairs Unit who will contact you to confirm a day and time for the inspection. Include your name and phone number as well as the best time to call. You can also print out and submit a Residential Security Survey Request.
