Sex offenders have always lived among us in our own communities. Megan's Law is one source for information, but it will not tell us who they all are.
The Yuma Police Department is fulfilling their obligation by mailing out sex offender flyers and holding community meetings to talk about the different tricks and lures sex offenders use to gain access to our children. The Yuma Police Department asks that you use the information provided responsibly, or we could lose Megan's Law. The Yuma Police Department wants you to watch these sex offenders closely and revisit safety rules with your children often.
"We don't want you to walk around scared, we want you to walk around smart."
