The Communications and Public Affairs Department exists to provide information to citizens of Yuma and the various regional/national media outlets about City and community initiatives, projects and events. We involve the City organization in regional efforts designed to foster good will and promote community communication opportunities.

The City’s Customer Convenience Calendar is coordinated through this office and all calls to the City of Yuma’s main telephone number (928-373-5000) reach a member of the Communications and Public Affairs Team.

The Communications and Public Affairs team oversees the City’s Cable License Agreement with Time Warner Cable and the use of two of its Educational Channels by Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University–Yuma. We provide information to the Yuma community via the City’s Government Access Channels (City 73 and Ciudad 72), the City’s talk - radio programs, CityNews Now on KBLU 560AM and Yuma al Dia on Radio Campesina 104.5FM, e-mail notification lists, and specialized publications.

Roundtable meetings with the citizens of Yuma and the Yuma City Council, questions or concerns about City services, the City of Yuma Speakers Bureau, as well as Special Event Applications and the City’s International Relations are also coordinated through this office.

For additional information or to discuss anything related to City of Yuma services, contact Greg Hyland, CPM, Director of Communications and Public Affairs at (928) 373-5023 or by email.
