The Public Affairs Unit is the way the Yuma Police Department has chosen to do business with the public. This plan puts us back in touch with you, our customers, and helps us serve you better. It is one way we fulfill our commitment to you the citizens of Yuma.

The unit consists of specially trained officers who focus on problem solving strategies and has worked to identify and establish community resources and contacts which are utilized to reduce or eliminate neighborhood and community crime problems. The Public Affairs Unit stimulates creative solutions to crime problems that begin in neighborhoods.
