Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Neighborhood Center
The MLK Neighborhood Center offers a 5,000 square foot multipurpose room for private parties and for workshops, seminars, clinics and more. It also has an office area that houses nonprofit organizations that provide services to residents and a computer lab with classes offered by AWC.
Youth Career Center
The center also features a Youth Career Center for youth ages 14 – 21 which is operated by the Yuma Private Industry Council (YPIC). It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. For 16 – 21 year olds, that do not attend school, they offer assistance with job search, resume writing, interview skills, and GED preparation. Their after school program provides services for Junior High to High School youth including tutoring, computer and internet access, video games and more. For more information call 783-9347.
